MpRBOH1 respiratory burst oxidase homolog (Rboh), nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase (NOX) Published
MpRBOHA NADPH oxidase/respiratory burst oxidase homolog Published
MpNOX2 was assigned to Mp3g20340 until June 2026, but has now been corrected to Mp7g00270.
Notes by DB administrator: Mp7g00270 encodes an NADPH oxidase (NOX)/respiratory burst oxidase homolog (RBOH), which has been assigned different gene names in three papers: MpRBOHA in Hashimoto et al. (10.1111/ppl.14101, 2023), MpRBOH2 in Chu et al. (10.1016/j.cub.2023.01.050, 2023), and MpRBOH1 in Yotsui et al. 2023 (10.1016/j.cub.2023.07.068). It has also been referred to as MpNOX2 (Rico-Resendiz 2020 et al. 10.3390/ijms21218354; Spinedi et al. 2021. 10.3390/plants10071478).

Associated Literature (AI-based literature mining, Beta-version)

One of only two M. polymorpha respiratory burst oxidase homologs; the MprbohA MprbohB double null forms a disorganized cell mass, showing RBOH-derived ROS positively regulate growth/cell proliferation and are essential for morphogenesis.
